Sven shrugs, pointing toward the shower pane. "That was written on the shower with soap. So either the maids here really suck, or he left us some kind of clue."

Antoine sighs, finding the alarm clock to be still working, telling no clues. "Guess we should search the rest of this place, top to bottom, starting with that air vent," he says, nodding up toward the rhythmic rattling.

He does a thorough search of the room, checking for anything they might have missed under the bed, behind the TV, under the drawers. He also takes a quick peek back through the clothes to gain any sense of build of this Mathias character.

OOC
What size of clothing? Is it apparent if it is for a masc- or femme-presenting body?

John shrugs. "Not enough to be a full address. Locker or room number is more likely."

Clothing
The clothing appears to be of a medium size. It could be considered unisex, but leaning more masc.

Jug walks into the room, their servos gently whirring. They survey the chaos, piecing together a story in their processor.

"Observation: Misfortune it seems to be. Affirmation: I agree with Tone, we should scour this place for information." They say, their volume returning to a conversational volume. Their eyelights flicker as they adjust their optics, scanning the room more thoroughly, trying to assess the damage, searching for a pattern, a sign of a direction the involved parties went.

Roll for my above actions of searching the full room, including the air vent

Jug
Your logic circuits run through the most likely scenarios assigning probabilities to each, determining the most likely course of events was that the door was broken open by one or more persons who then proceeded to enter the room. The lead was likely then ambushed, being tackled into the TV, smashing its screen. The assailant would then have be pulled off and thrown into the nightstand, knocking the lamp and alarm clock to the floor before being subdued.
Antoine
Peering into the air vent, you are unable to spot anything amiss, though the rhythmic rattling continues, seeming to come from deeper inside the vent. Your search of the room's drawers turns up nothing though, finding them empty as one would expect, however looking under the bed, on the side next to the fallen lamp and clock, you find a pair of one time use zip tie style handcuffs, the sort carried by undercover police or agents in lieu of sturdier but more obvious cuffs.

Climbing to his feet after searching beneath the bed, Antoine holds up a discarded pair of zip-ties. "Seems like our friend's been taken." He frowns, a distant, dark look in his eyes.

How we supposed to find this fellow, or their datafiles now? he asks himself. I wonder if that gal next door heard anything. This shit doesn't look like a clean capture.

"Maybe he knew they were coming and that's why he left that number in the soap," Sven says after Antoine's revelation, frowning as the zip ties are held up. That, or the maids suck and someone here was kinky. Not exactly five star accommodations.

"Not good, based on our orders that means we need to either rescue him or make sure the Escriosians can't get anything more out of him. Either way we need to find him" Jin says at the realisation.

"Analysis: Four digit numbers are typically one of three things: codes, designations, or times. Suggestion: Possibly a device that requires a code, an address, or something related to the time 6:06 PM." Jug suggests, still surveying the room.

"Could be any of those," Sven replies to Jug, pondering over the nature of the numbers. "Is there, uh, a safe in this room? Don't hotel rooms usually have a safe somewhere?" He begins searching the room, looking for a closet or drawer that might have a safe in it.

"Didn't see one," Antoine says with an apologetic shrug. "Hey, listen, back in this motel bar, I ran into this gal when I was looking for our contact. Said her room was 212 — right next door. Chances are, she might have heard something. Why don't you folks keep sniffing around, and I'll go see if I can't find out something?"

Sven
A cursory look through the various drawers and the closet turns up no safe.

"Worth a shot," Sven says to Antoine with a shrug, sighing in frustration over the lack of a safe in the room. "Wait." He pauses, considering where else a code might be used. "You think that central hub might have lockers or something?"

"There's one way to find out," Antoine answers. "I'm thinking we head that way afterwards, see what our contact might have gotten up to in their quick trip there and back. 'Scuse me." He steps out of the door, knocking on the neighboring door to Room 212.

"I didn’t see any as we passed through, but I doubt they’d be on the platforms anyway," Jin replies to Sven.

"It’s worth checking out."
Antoine
There is a short pass following your knock before the door opens. The woman you met at the bar earlier stands in the doorway, her eyes lighting up at the sight of you.

"I was starting to think you weren’t coming," she says with a sly smile.

"Still want that beer?" She asks, stepping aside to let you into her room, which, from the doorway, appears to be identical to the room next door in both layout and furnishings.

"Only thing I can think of that pieces together the clues we've got," Sven says with a shrug, hoping this lead actually has merit. "Plus, it's like something out of a spy thriller flick. Secret drop at a train station, a bag full of stolen money, double agents." Should invite all of 'em for a movie marathon after this is over. Maybe they'll learn a thing or two.

"Course I do," Antoine says, a confident smile on his lined face. "Thanks for waiting up." He steps inside, leaning against the wall, waiting patiently for the beer while he considers his approach.

John frowns a bit at Sven's remark. "And the hero always get's shot, but walks away unscathed because they wear their Diktat medal of heroism and oppression under their shirt. Need I remind you, that we don't have those?"

Antoine
The woman shuts the door behind you, before making her way over to the room's minifridge and grabbing a pair of aluminum bottles. She hands you one before cracking her own open and taking a swig.

"Soooo?" She asks, dragging out the last syllable as she looks at you expectantly.

Antoine takes the beer, popping the tab and taking a glug. It's no Bilhauser, but it ain't too bad.

He swallows and sighs, studying the woman for a moment. "So, I told you I was here for work, and that's true, but it's only part of it," he says, giving her an apologetic grimace. "I was supposed to meet a fellow here, pick up a project they were workin' on. Only, they've left town and I'm sitting here with my pants down, looking like a damn fool."

Antoine taps a hand softly against the wall, indicating the room next door. "Turns out, friend's room's next to yours. You, uh, you hear anything last night? Real strange, them not being here. Starting to feel like they left quick. Got spooked. Or... or something worse." He frowns again, a look of genuine concern falling over his face.

Antoine
"Oh. That's a coincidence," the women replies, a flash of disappointment on her face. She takes another long swig of her drink, as she perches herself on the edge of the bed.

"I remember the guy. A ruckus from next door woke me up, so I popped my head outside to see what was happening. I don't know what he did, but your friend was getting carted off by a couple of cops - or at least one cop. The other guy was in plain clothes, maybe a detective or something," she says with a shrug.

"Anyway, they told me to go back inside, and I didn't fancy joining your friend so I did. Sorry, that's probably not what you wanted to hear right?"

"The cops?" Antoine says, almost spitting out the next sip of his beer. "Hoh, shit, that wasn't on my list of worries. What the hell? I wonder what happened. What he did. Arrested and dragged off..." He shakes his head. Hell, we're not seeing him anytime soon.

"You sure it was my guy? What'd he look like, if you remember? And these cops, they look local? As in Isille-local?"
