Hook
On today's broadcast, we have two teams of Lancers, each veterans in their own rights, but all new to this arena. Which team has the coordination, the skill, the drive to eliminate the other and claim victory? Only one way to find out!
Setting and Lore
Far in the reaches of Karrakin space, there is a fold in the universe, where a space station resides. This station, named Tjordek after an ancient Cradle tradition, is home to the galaxy's premier mecha fighting arena. The outer ring of the station is divided up into sections, each playing host to a wide array of environs and hazards, every one of them streamed to the live audience in the central hub of the station and beyond, available to anyone with an omninet connection and the determination to find it.
Mechanics
SITREP: Team Deathmatch
The only goal here is to eliminate the other team fully. There is no sparing of the enemy, you must kill or be killed.
Death: Death is not necessarily permanent here. As part of the registration process, each combatant is offered but not required to have a scan taken of their cognitive profile, to be later imprinted on a facsimile-type clone upon the tragic event of the pilot's death. While typically remarkably similar to the original, clones are in fact separate people with their own subjectivities, and as such carry an inherent risk of coming with certain quirks or complications upon imprinting.
Character Creation Rules
LCPs Permitted: Any official. Homebrew licenses may be okayed, just ask first.
License Level: This game will be played at LL6, and OPFOR will be at Tier 2
