"Two! The last two!" the Overseer calls. "Will the elf win in a fiery finish? Or will the dwarf split him in half?"

Rules on Action Points

Characters do not begin with an action point. Instead, when you down an enemy, you gain an immediately-spent action point. This allows you to make an additional action of your choice on your turn. You can ready an action with this additional action, but you cannot save it by other means.

Kork answers the overseer with a mighty roar as he charges the mage.
"Ya should've bought some armour kid!" Kork says laughing as his axe cleaves through the elfs clothing and flesh.

"And you should have hit harder," Fazien says, smirking as he feels victory within reach. With a flick of his wrist, he and his foe are engulfed in a geyser of flame. He slides out of the smoke and ember, grinning as his swirling inferno begins to dissipate, the dwarf within no longer standing. Good, now I can get some peace and quiet without him screaming in my ear.

Realizing he now stands alone on the sands, Fazien feels immense relief. He lives to see another day. He stares out into the crowd, waiting with bated breath to revel in their reactions.

Brawl for Fresh Blood I

Round 8 — Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

"And there is our winner!" the Overseer cries in excitement, struggling to make his announcement over the sheer volume of the crowds above. "The uncontested champion of today's brawl for fresh blood — Fazien, the Firebranded!"

The ashen remnants of Kork's charred body billow against the sand and pick up with the warm breeze through the arena. Fazien the Firebranded stands proud and tall, beaming up into the crowds above him. With two axe wounds that seep blood into the golden sands, the elf's pure adrenaline and the deafening cheers seem to dull most of the pain.

Around him, the fallen, dismembered, or burnt bodies of eleven others lay silent in defeat. Within moments, the aides are on the scene, clearing away the viscera and discarded equipment. One of them beckons for the elvish victor to follow. As he does, the gruff orcish woman leans in close as they walk through the Ring Gate and toward the tunnel to the Underbelly. "Welcome to the Ring, my friend. But don't get comfortable yet," she says with a grin. "You've got a lot of fights ahead of you."
