History
The Prospect of a King
In the late Fourth Era, a rivalry had grown between Valcus Torinn III, the king of Tulrisse, and Falrus Aerden, the acting lord of the Spear. House Aerden was looking to expand its presence, having grown a tenuous relationship with that of House Torinn. Lokhir Aerden, Falrus's brother and second to the lordship, traveled south to the Andorian Peninsula and settled what would eventually become Wolfrun Keep. Valcus III, feeling spurned by the gesture, decided to commit to the same level of imperialism. The King hired Reii Myagos, a wealthy, well-traveled explorer to survey the entire peninsula to the south. Picking a easily-defensible cove further down the shore than the Aerden-led settlement, Valcus III gave Myagos a retinue of around fifty Tulrissian settlers who had volunteered. Being funded by the crown, the expedition set sail aboard the famed Quina Vjeta in 4E, Y 124, and landed there with little trouble, contrasting the difficulties that Lokhir Aerden had suffered three years prior.
Within months, Falrus Aerden died to illness, setting Wolfrun Keep's purpose into question. When the now-reigning Lord Falrus II pulled funding from his uncle Lokhir's operation, Valcus III felt little reason to continue the pompous imperialism. Iron Eye Cove, still in the beginning stages of construction, was left to its own devices. Winter was approaching, and Myagos had grown attached to the expedition, sticking around to ensure its survival as a settlement.
